Grades 2-4 Summer School

Parkland School Division is excited to announce a summer school opportunity for students registered in Grades 2, 3 or 4 for the 2023-2024 school year. It is available through the Connections For Learning main campus.

Summer School runs July 4-14, 2023, and offers academic mornings combined with active afternoons.

Afternoon Programming

Afternoons for all three of the above academic options are rich with active learning experiences offered through My PATH Summer School.

My PATH Summer School students will participate in a variety of wellness activities in the afternoons including, but not limited to:

Each activity is provided by community partners who are experts in their fields and who work regularly with us to provide quality programming for the My PATH Programs.

Registration & Fees

Registration for summer school is available on the Summer School How to Register page. Registration closes June 23, 2023. Register as soon as possible as there are limited spots available. If spots in the class fill up, students will be placed on a waiting list.

  • The cost for summer school per student is $350.
  • Priority for student acceptance will be based on the current level of academic functioning. PSD students and students achieving below grade-level expectations will be given priority for acceptance.

Completing registration for the PSD Summer School Program indicates the student wishes to apply for the program—it does not guarantee the student’s acceptance into the program. Program acceptance may only occur after receiving confirmation and acceptance from PSD via email.

Registrations will be processed in the order that they are received. In order to run a class grouping a minimum number of students need to be reached. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. Students who register later will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted should a spot become available.

Summer School is a program of choice. In order to be successful in the program, students must display a high standard of independence, work ethic, responsibility and engagement. Our goal is for every student to be successful; however, we know that this program may not be the best fit for every student.
